Hannaford Supermarkets, Maine Community Bank, and Coast 93.1 are partnering to identify and celebrate women in Maine who go above and beyond to make their communities a better place to live.

We know those unsung heroes in our neighborhoods – those women who are already busy yet find ways to give back in big ways to help others.

Who is that woman in your life?

Each outstanding woman will be highlighted on Coast 93.1 with her own day of recognition and will be celebrated in a special event featuring all of Coast’s “20 Outstanding Women” to take place on March 24, 2025, at USM’s Hannaford Hall.

Official 20 Outstanding Women Rules

Coast 93.1’s 20 Outstanding Women recognition program is an annual initiative, to be conducted Monday, January 6th, 2025 through Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 in which listeners can nominate an outstanding woman in their life for a chance to win the honor of being one of the 2025 20 Outstanding Women. To enter, nominators must completely fill out a nomination form on the 20 Outstanding Women contest page at Coast931.com. The 20 honorees will be chosen by a panel of judges, selected by Coast 93.1 and Hannaford Supermarkets. All nominees will be subjectively evaluated, and the 20 winners will be contacted via email or phone by a Coast 93.1 representative at the conclusion of the reviewing process. Judges read through each nomination and choose those they feel make a substantial difference in their communities. The judges’ decision is final. Honorees will be VIP guests at a special event and presented with a commemorative award, $250 Hannaford gift card, flowers ($25 value) and other gifts. If the prize package is valued at $600 or more, winners will be sent a 1099 MISC federal tax form. Winners are responsible for any and all Federal, State and/or Local Taxes. Prizes are not transferrable or redeemable for cash. Coast 93.1 is not responsible for any errors, problems, or delays in the telephone, internet, or streaming systems with this promotion. No purchase is necessary. Former 20 Outstanding Women designees are not eligible. Likewise, employees of Coast 93.1, Portland Media Group, Saga Communications of New England, LLC, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., Hannaford Supermarket, affiliates, contest sponsors and their affiliates, employees and immediate families of each, Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. Demand for viral ‘torpedo’ baseball bats has sent a Pennsylvania factory into overdrive

Think of home runs in baseball, and the fan's mind races to the mammoth distances a ball can fly when slugged right on the nose, or a history-making chase that captivates a nation. Of lesser interest, the ol' reliable wood bat itself. That was, of course, until Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Bellinger hit back-to-back homers for the New York Yankees last Saturday to open a nine-homer barrage.
